AM DA and Diplexing Equipment Design, Fabrication, installation, and tuning/proofing:
MP&A has been designing AM directional antenna systems, and building phasors for AM DA sites for many years now. We started out rebuilding older phasors for re-use in new or upgraded sites, and moved on from there to design and build entire phasors in-shop using locally-made aluminum cabinets. These days we concentrate on designing the array, furnishing our design to one of the standard phasor/ATU manufacturers (Kintronic Labs, Phasetek), then often installing, tuning, and proofing the systems.
MP&A has designed, constructed, and installed a number of AM diplexing systems over the last two decades. Our designs combine more than adequate isolation with good bandwidth, and use reliable, conservatively-rated components, to provide a diplexer that will provide many years of trouble-free service. We have designed and installed diplexers from 500W to 50 kW. Unlike phasors and ATUs, we still fabricate diplexers in-house. See our page showcasing some of our past diplexing projects.
MP&A has been involved in AM antenna broadbanding design since 1979. Along the way we have developed measurement and computer analysis techniques that are second to none. We have designed and installed many broadband non-directional antenna tuning units, and DA arrays as well, from 250W to 50 KW. All the phasors and ATUs we design for maximum pattern and VSWR bandwidth and for IBOC compatibility. Also, we have also rebuilt many directional antenna phasors and ATUs for greatly improved bandwidth compared to their original designs. MP&A is ready with the software, test equipment, and expertise to resolve your broadbanding issues. In many cases, we can modify the design and tuning of your existing phasor or ATU in situ for maximum bandwidth.
