Overview:

MP&A is working with Harris, BE, Nautel, and other major transmitter manufacturers to offer first-class IBOC implementation and equipment installation for both AM and FM stations. Our extensive experience with digital studio construction and AM antenna broadbanding puts us in a unique position among systems integrators to provide broadcasters with the comprehensive facility upgrades IBOC will require for maximum audio quality and reliability.

Emphasis on Quality:

At MP&A, we stress quality from the first time we walk onto a site to when the last piece of documentation is delivered to the client.  With IBOC, this emphasis on quality is especially important, as the HD signal will not be properly transmitted with deficient or poorly-adjusted equipment, and the audio signal recovered at the listener's radio will not be worthy of the effort made to transmit it unless the station's audio chain--from microphone to STL--is not top quality and fine-tuned for performance.

First-Class Test Gear:

With IBOC, more so than other aspects of radio engineering, you're only as good as your test gear.  MP&A prides itself on having superior test gear, for both audio, and AM & FM RF.  And any piece of test gear is only as good as the person setting it up and operating it.  At MP&A, we don't send any gear into the field without skilled engineers and technicians to set up and operate our cool gear, and to interpret the results.

Complex Interconnectivity Made Simple:

With IBOC--especially with the popular multi-channel modes--the digital audio and data interconnections are often extremely complex. even arcane.  We are experienced with how to set up, dresss out, and label these connections so that order is preserved and station personnel can maintain and expand the networks for future expansion.
